About John Garner

When I was young I worked at a church summer camp. I came home and told

my father that I wanted to be a youth pastor when I grew up…
He surprised me

when he told me I couldn’t do that.

He said if I grew up they would never let me be a youth pastor and if I was a

youth pastor I would never grow up.

I was blessed with the opportunity to be a youth pastor for nearly 15 years. I guess growing up is still an option.

My Passion

I’ve been married to my best friend for over 30 years now… Two beautiful daughters and their husbands have

filled our lives with the joy of four incredible grandchildren!

I am now retired after many years in healthcare administration.

I am a Christian… Over the years of my life God has pursued me relentlessly.

I have found God’s Peace and a tremendous amount of Joy in the understanding that even as God started the

good work within me to save me… He is continuing to do the good work ~ changing the way I look at sin (my

separation from Him) and sealing me into a relationship with Him – I am Heaven bound!

My Goals

This daily devotional “THE GOOD NEWS TODAY IS:” ~ seeks to remind my friends and loved ones of hope and assurance ~ Life… not death. I want to speak with assurance of our Hope we have because of God’s Great Plan to restore us from the death and devastation sin has brought into our lives.
